At John F. Kennedy School Berlin, extraordinary things happen every day — bilingual classrooms, international exchange programs, musicals, ski trips, and so much more. Behind many of these experiences is the Verein: a parent-run organization that has been quietly making school life better since 1962.
Fun Run 2026
What an incredible day! Our 2026 Fun Run was filled with energy, laughter, school spirit and plenty of happy (and tired!) runners!
We are grateful to everyone who made this event possible – from our students and teachers/staff who participated, to the volunteers who helped organize, distribute t-shirts, cheer and keep things running smoothly. Thank you to the Swim Club, ISTA and Boy Scouts for providing food and drinks! A HUGE thank you to the JFKS Sports Teachers for providing First Aid support throughout the day. Most of all, thank you to our amazing supporters and donors. Your generosity and enthusiasm help make opportunities and experiences possible for our students throughout the year.
The Fun Run was more than just a great day of running – it was a wonderful reminder of what we can accomplish when our JFKS Community comes together. Every lap, cheer, donation and helping hand made a difference.
THANK YOU for showing up, cheering loudly, and supporting our students. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Fun Run Donations:
We are looking forward to receiving your Fun Run donations! Each lap on the sports field was rewarded with a donation from family, friends and relatives. Your kids gave their all — and your donations will go to a variety of projects including some JFKS Campus Beautification Committee initiatives.

The 2026/27 JFKS Planner are available! Get your own in our school shop.
The Student Planner is an important companion throughout the school year, helping students stay organized while keeping track of assignments, schedules, important dates, and school information.
After the first week of school, any remaining planners will be available for purchase from the School Shop.
The Student Planner continues to evolve each year. Future ideas under consideration include online pre-orders, integrating planner distribution with school registration, or offering complimentary planners as a benefit of Verein membership.
THE JFK Verein – who we are
The Verein works closely with parents, staff and students to maintain and improve the school’s educational facilities and materials. Its activities are funded entirely by annual membership fees and fund-raising events which are held throughout the school year. Examples of these events include the bi-annual Fun Run, Fun Day and Flea Market.
The Verein was founded in 1962 shortly after the opening of the school by parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends of the JFKS as a private charitable organization. Since then its goal has been to support the excellent learning environment at the JFKS.
Through membership fees and a wide range of fundraising projects, the Verein raises funds that go directly back into our school community. These contributions support a variety of school projects, enrich our community campus, and provide students and teachers with all kinds of support, from learning resources and extracurricular programs to classroom materials and professional development.
Become a part of JFKS Events
Our events are only possible because of people like you. Volunteers are the heart of everything we do, and every contribution counts, whether you can give an hour at a single event, help out regularly, or take on a bigger role. From setting up and serving to organizing and cleaning up, no task is too small and no support goes unnoticed. Become a volunteer and help us create a joyful event for our children, teachers, parents, alumni and everyone who is part of our community.
Have something else to contribute? We welcome funding, donations, sponsoring, and vendors at our events. Whatever way you choose to support us, you’re helping bring our community together.

The Sport-Club John-F.-Kennedy-Schule Berlin e.V. is the official affiliate sports club of the John-F.-Kennedy School in Berlin, Germany, offering a wide spectrum of sports activities that complement the school’s own sports offerings.
The JFK Friendship Center is a non-profit German-American community center with Activities in English and German language.
We offer bilingual Preschool Day Care and we are the cooperation partner of the JFK school for After School Day Care.
