The Fun Run is back, So Save the Date!
On Friday Oct 2nd, the Verein will host this year’s Fun Run! The Fun Run traditionally takes place every two years and is a great opportunity to raise money for our JFKS Community. This year, The Verein hopes to use a portion of the funds raised to support various JFKS Campus Beautification Committee projects.
Here’s how it works: Each student will reach out to family and friends for pledges/donations prior to the Fun Run. On the day of Fun Run, they will run as many laps as they can in the allotted time. Each lap will raise money towards supporting various class, club and school initiatives.
Parents! We need your support! With over 1600 students participating, we definitely need Parent volunteers to make this event a success! Whether it’s supporting behind the scenes, passing out water, counting laps or setting up, there is a job for everyone!

The 2026/27 JFKS Planner are available! Get your own this week.
The Student Planner is an important companion throughout the school year, helping students stay organized while keeping track of assignments, schedules, important dates, and school information.
The 2026/27 Student Planner will be available before the start of the new school year. It can be purchased during:
* The last week of the current school year
* Orientation Day
* The first week of the new school year
After the first week of school, any remaining planners will be available for purchase from the School Shop.
The Student Planner continues to evolve each year. Future ideas under consideration include online pre-orders, integrating planner distribution with school registration, or offering complimentary planners as a benefit of Verein membership.
THE JFK Verein – who we are
The Verein works closely with parents, staff and students to maintain and improve the school’s educational facilities and materials. Its activities are funded entirely by annual membership fees and fund-raising events which are held throughout the school year. Examples of these events include the annual Fun Run, Fun Day and Spooktacular.
The Verein was founded in 1962 shortly after the opening of the school by parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends of the JFKS as a private charitable organization. Since then its goal has been to support the excellent learning environment at the JFKS.
In order to supplement the school budget provided by the Berlin Senate, The Verein raises funds through membership fees and a variety of projects. These funds support the bilingual, bicultural and unique environment at JFKS, thereby preparing students for success in a global world.
